Visual Democracy is a project initiated by the artist Rita Marhaug. It consists of four wallpapers, each assigned to a different artist to work with specific groups in society, such as prisoners, immigrants, senior citizens, and children.
In 12 weeks, seven girls from a multicultural background from a local school in Bergen created a wallpaper around the theme of democracy and their participation in society, called Respite or Pusterom in Norwegian.
